About Lydia

Upon graduating from Arizona State University with her bachelor's in Journalism and Mass Communications, Lydia sees herself working in marketing or events. She is in her third year at the Cronkite school of journalism and is currently working in the professional program, Cronkite News.

While in school, Lydia has taken advantage of many opportunities to volunteer for events, like First Friday in Roosevelt Row, and serve as the 2022 Homecoming Director and as the Vice President of Programming and Special Events at the downtown Phoenix Programming and Activities Board. She also serves as the President of the Society of Professional Journalists/Online News Association at Arizona State and is a part of Blaze Radio, ASU’s student radio station.

Career-wise, Lydia has completed an internship at KTAR radio in Phoenix, Your Jubilee, a wedding planning company, in Scottsdale, and is working an internship at Benchmark Electronics, as a marketing intern.
